You will leave feeling confident in teaching the best barre class possible. No longer feel threatened by the client's need for modifications or feeling the pressure to combine 7 moves in an effort to make your class "interesting". With BASE, you will the basics behind the science of barre and be able to explain why we do what do whenever asked

Successfully Completing the Training Looks Like:


  • Completing all 5 Sections of course content within the 6-week course
  • Attending LIVE or watching the recorded cohort meetings
  • Passing the final 100 question exam with an 80% or better
  • Programming and teaching a section of each class for review

Meet the Instructor

Syd Detweiler

Syd is a fitness professional who began her Barre Journey in 2015. After years of taking weekend workshops and certifications but still left with questions, she decided to take things into her own hands and build a program that actually TEACHES the ideas behind fitness instead of just how to mimic moves. Sydney is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, and Nutrition Coach. After three years of developing BASE with other industry leaders, she is so excited to finally debut it to the fitness world! Sydney enjoys teaching all levels and all ages and she looks forward to sharing this love of building meaningful and effective classes with all students to develop their group fitness instructor abilities.
